DAY 01: ARRIVE KATHMANDU

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you to check into your hotel. In the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities during the tour. Evening is free for your leisure.

 

DAY 02: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING

 

After breakfast you will proceed for sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath Temple and Bouddhanath Stupa (both are protected by UNESCO as world heritage sites). Pashupatinath temple is the oldest and most sacred Hindu temple of the world situated in the bank of Holy Bagmati River. Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the biggest and oldest stupa of the world and the area surrounding is also known as little Tibet as the area is highly inhabited by Tibetan refugees and and also houses one of the biggest Tibetan refugee camps of the valley. Lunch will be arranged either in the hotel or restaurant followed by rest for few hours. During late afternoon, you can visit the popular tourist hub of Thamel which is renowned for shopping and variety of restaurants. Dinner & overnight in hotel.

 

DAY 03: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING

 

After breakfast you will proceed for continuation of UNESCO World Heritage site tours of Kathmandu Valley covering Swoyambhunath Stupa known as monkey temple –an oldest Buddhist Stupa situated on a hillock overlooking Kathmandu valley and eastern Himalayan ranges. Then you will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square that houses Kumari temple (temple of living goddess), Kasthamandap temple, and several other arts and architecture. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 04: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING

 

After breakfast you will proceed for a unique village tour to Bungmati and Khokna. Both of these villages appeal tourists with their traditional Newari houses, temples, monuments, museum of old traditional household equipment etc. Upon return to Kathmandu, you will visit Patan Durbar Square – city of art and architecture. You will then return to the hotel, have lunch and rest for a while. In the evening, dinner will be arranged in a traditional Nepali restaurant followed by a cultural program.

DAY 05: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING & DRIVE KATHMANDU - NAGARKOT

After breakfast you will proceed to Bhaktapur Durbar Square which was founded in 889 AD and lies 13 km east of Kathmandu. The old palace square of Bhaktapur contains famous "Fifty-five windows palace". It was the royal palace of Malla kings then. The golden gate in this square is the unique master piece of the Newari art work. This old square is like an open museum of Hindu temples. The other famous sites to explore are the ancient royal bath, the courtyard of Taleju shrine, the museum of art and history, the pottery square, the majestic Nyatapola temple, the famous Peacock window and the Dattatraya temple. Lunch will be arranged in the Bhaktapur Durbar Square premises. Upon arrival in Nagarkot (32 KM, 1 hr drive), you can enjoy the view of sunset over eastern Himalayan ranges. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

 

DAY 06: DRIVE NAGARKOT - KATHMANDU - BANDIPUR

 

After breakfast, you will proceed for Bandipur (175 KM / 6 hrs drive) observing the scenic views on the national highway along the Trishuli River. After checking into the hotel in Bandipur, you can rest for a while and then go for evening walk around the village. Overnight in hotel.

 

DAY 07: BANDIPUR SIGHTSEEING

 

Today you can either explore this beautiful town or just relax at the hotel overlooking an unending horizon with Himalayan peaks. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 08: DRIVE BANDIPUR - POKHARA

 

After breakfast you will proceed to Pokhara (80 KM, 2 hrs) observing the scenic views on the national highway along the Marshyangdi River. After checking into the hotel in Pokhara, you can go evening walk around the tourist area of Lake Side and enjoy the view of western Himalayan ranges including Mount Fishtail. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 09: FLY POKHARA - JOMSOM

Today in the early morning, you will board a flight to Jomsom (approx. 30 mins) from Pokhara airport. After checking into the hotel in Jomsom, you can go for a walk around the Jomsom village like Kaligandaki Saligram area, Museums etc. If you wish you can also stay in the hotel relaxing and enjoying the views of majestic western ranges of Himalayas. Overnight in hotel.

 

DAY 10: DRIVE JOMSOM – APPLE VALLEY (MARPHA VILLAGE) - JOMSOM

 

After breakfast, you will proceed for full day local Marpha village sightseeing on a pony/ local jeep. Marpha village is an ancient Thakali settlement housing several monasteries. You will explore Marpha village, monasteries, apple orchard etc. Upon return to Jomsom, rest of the day is free for your personal and leisurely activities. Overnight in hotel.

 

DAY 11: FLY JOMSOM – POKHARA & POKHARA SIGHTSEEING

 

Today you will fly back to Pokhara from Jomsom Airport early in the morning. Pokhara is a globally renowned tourist destination for its natural beauty. You can spend entire day sightseeing and relaxing. Firstly, you can visit Fewa Lake where you can see the reflection of Mount Machhapuchhre if the weather is clear. The lake also houses Barahi Temple located in the middle of the lake. Other interesting destinations would be Devi’s Waterfall, Tibetan Refugee Settlement, Gupteshwor Cave, International Mountain Museum and Bindabasini Temple. Rest of the day you can explore lake side. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 12: DRIVE POKHARA - KATHMANDU

 

After breakfast, you will proceed to Kathmandu (200 KM/ 7 hrs). Rest of the day is free for your personal and leisurely activities. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 13: DEPARTURE

After breakfast, our representative will take you to the Tribhuvan international airport for your flight towards onward destination.
