DAY 01 : Airport / Colombo

Arrival to Colombo International Airport and meet guide at the airport arrival lobby
Transfer from Airport to Colombo
City tour of Colombo
In the afternoon, do a city tour of Colombo. Colombo is the commercial and business center of Sri Lanka located on west cost. The city blends together with old colonial type building, high-rise commercial buildings and hotels. It is filled with shopping malls. Some of the finest structures built during the colonial times still preserved in one part of the City. For example, there is a 100-year-old clock tower. And the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) which was a gift to Sri Lanka from the People’s Republic of China.
Optional Visit – Casino
Visit one of the famous Colombo Casinos. You could play Roulette, Poker, Baccarat, and Blackjack to slot games. Enjoy the lavish buffet, any kind of spirits & witness lovely dancing acts while mingling amongst the vibrant & fun loving crowd.

DAY 02 : Colombo / Pinnawala / Sigiriya / Dambulla

Those who want to see the tamed and semi wild elephants in close proximity the best place are the “Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage”. It is located northwest of Kegalle town along the Colombo ~ Kandy main road. The orphanage is in a twenty five acre coconut land near Maha Oya. The wide area of shallow water and the huge rocks of Maha Oya make the ideal place to these magnificent animals. This facility was established in year 1975 as a conservation breading center for Elephants by Sri Lanka Wildlife department. It was started with a heard of five baby Elephants. In year 1978 it was taken over by the National Zoological Gardens of Sri Lanka. Pinnawala Elephant orphanage is treated as one of the largest breading center in the world.
Transfer from Pinnawala to Sigiriya
Climb the citadel of Sigiriya which was built in 5th century. Sigiriya is treated as one of the most remarkable creations in the world, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). Path through the gardens along Stone stairways come to the Lion Gate. Only the rock carving and the brick structure is evident today of the lion’s mouth through which millions of people have walked to admire he beauty of this magnificent citadel.

DAY 03 : Dambulla / Polonnaruwa / Habarana/Dambulla

Transfer from Dambulla to Polonnaruwa

Visit Polonnaruwa the second capital of Sri Lanka from 1017 A.D to 1235 A.D. Polonnaruwa is also a UNESCO world heritage city. You will be able to see the ruins of Royal Palace king Parakramabahu, Audience Hall, the statue of king Parakramabahu, Watadage, the Galpotha, Parakrama Samudraya (Sea of Parakrama) which was built by King Parakramabahu I, covers an area of 5940 acres and the elegant Lotus pond was built in 12th century. There are also famous monument of worship such as the Gal Viharaya which has 4 magnificent carved Buddha statues, Kiri Vehera (the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic) and Shiva Temple .
Transfer to Minneriya / Habarana
Minneriya Jeep Safari.

Do a jeep safari in Minneriya National park. The park covers an area of 8,889 hectares giving home to 160 species of birds about 25 species of reptiles, 26 fish species, 09 amphibians and more than 78 butterfly species. The park is ideal place for elephant and leopard watching.

Ride on an Elephant Back crossing through rivers & beautiful jungles.
Village Tour
Enjoy an excursion that takes you through the real Sri Lankan Villages. Clients will be able to ride on a Bullock Cart, a three wheeler & have a homely cooked meal. It is very pleasant experience!!
Transfer to Dambulla

DAY 04 : Dambulla / Anuradhapura / Mihintale/Dambulla

Distance is 6-7 km. - Altitude 8500 ft. The trek trail is rather gradual till the weather is clear the Paro Valley can be seen with the snow-capped mountains. O/n camp

DAY 05: JELEDZONG - JANGCHULAKHA

Visit Anuradhapura the first capital of Sri Lanka which is a UNESCO world heritage city. Anuradhapura was once a very wealthy monastic city which created a unique culture and a great civilization. British explores discovered this lost city in 19th century. Visit many historical and archeological important places at Anuradhapura such as Sacred Bo-Tree (Sri Maha Bodhi), the right branch of the secret Bodhi tree where Buddha attained enlightenment and one of the oldest historical documented tree in the world, Ruwanweliseya which was built by King Dutugemunu (one of the most greatest stupas in the world). This magnificent huge Dagaba which is 103 meters in height and 287 meters in circumference was built in 2nd century B.C, the Brazen Palace (dated back to 2nd century B.C) a magnificent multi storied residence built for monks, Samadhi Stature (A stature in the position of deep meditation) which is the most famous stature at Anuradhapura and Isurumuniya which is the most famous beautiful rock carvings.
Transfer from Anuradhapura to Mihintale
Mihintale is a mountain peak near Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It is believed by Sri Lankans to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. It is now a pilgrimage site, and the site of several religious monuments and abandoned structures.

DAY 05 : Dambulla / Matale / Kandy

Spice Garden

Visit a spice garden in Matale to see different spices for which Sri Lanka is famous for. Clients will be able to see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Witness Cookery demonstrations as well.

Wood Carving / Handy Crafts Centre
Wood carving is a traditional industry in Sri Lanka. Believed to be emerged in the ancient temples, the traditions & the techniques were passed from one generation to another. Today some of the wonderful craftsmen who belonged to such generations are still engaged in the field. They create wood carvings, statues, furniture, traditional masks, sculptures, handy craft, and paintings and to various other products of same nature. A visit to a wood carving center involves in learning of these ancient traditions & one could make purchases as well.
Transfer from Matale to Kandy
Kandy was the last capital of Sinhala Kings. The valley of Kandy is surrounded by magnificent hills which made it as the last bastion. Today Kandy offers its visitors rich collection of art and craft and historical buildings. It includes a collection of ancient temples buildings, handicrafts, souvenirs, bazaar and gem museum and the temple of tooth relic which houses the most sacred Buddhist relic in the world, the Tooth of Lord Buddha. Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts Centre, a gem museum and a lapidary.

It is very unique & owns a huge reputation in the world.Clients could visit a Gemological Museum, a gem cutting factory & also can witness a documentary on Gem mining & the process. Later you can shop for Gems, Jewelry & Other ornaments. Don’t forget to collect your authenticity certificate for gems.
Silk
Visit the Silk Garden. Clients will be shown the process of making silk & how the handloom sarees are been made in Sri Lanka. The ladies will be given a chance to wear a traditional Sri Lankn saree & it be an ideal opportunity to experience the Sri Lankan dressing culture. You can shop for Silk items, sarees, sarongs, shirts & many other beautiful materials according to your choice.

DAY 06 : Kandy / Nuwara Eliya

Visit a Tea Factory
Sri Lanka is world famous for Ceylon Tea. Clients will be shown a tea plantation & a factory. You will be able to witness the processing of Tea & also taste a cup of nice & hot Ceylon Tea. You can buy various different Tea products from the Tea shop.
Visit the Famous Ramboda Falls.
Ramboda is a breathtaking natural beauty. There are two prominent waterfalls next to each other. Clients could take pictures & enjoy the view from a view deck.
Transfer from Ramboda to Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya is located at the heart of the hill country 6182 feet above from the sea level. The town is situated at 74 km away along Kandy-Nuwara Eliya road and this was rediscovered by British in 1827. It is still very much like an old English town with styled Bungalows and buildings. The cool calm climate, gorges rolling tea plantation which makes the best “Ceylon tea” and the breathtaking beautiful waterfalls makes Nuwara Eliya one of the most beautiful town in the world. Nuwara Eliya also has one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia. You can visit the Golf Club, Strawberry Farms & pick some strawberries. You can take a nice evening walk around the Gregory Lake. Visit the beautiful club house & Have a hot & nice cup of Ceylon Tea Do a peddling boat ride.

DAY 07 : Nuwara Eliya / Galle / Bentota

Proceed to Galle

Galle was a main port of Sri Lanka from 14th century. The first fort of Galle was built by Portuguese. Walk along the walls of the fort enjoy the magnificent view of the ocean and do not forget to watch the sun set which gives you an astonishing view from the walls of the Galle fort.
Visit the Moonstone Mine
Visit Meetiyagoda the world famous land for its Moon stones. You can visit a real gem mine & observe the process. The workshop & the Gem museum is a real attraction. The option of purchasing the jewelry made out of moonstones is a possibility.
Visit a Turtle hatchery
There are five varieties of Sea Turtles found in Sri Lanka, namely Olive Ridley Turtle, Loggerhead Turtle, Green Turtle, Hawksbill Turtle and Leatherhead Turtle. The all major nesting habitats are located in the Galle
Proceed to Bentota
A Sri Lankan coastal city famous for golden beaches, Bentota is situated on the southern coastal tip of the Galle District of the Southern Province. The town is a popular tourist attraction and also a favorite destination for watersports. It is especially famous among the foreign tourists. The name comes from a mythical story which dates back to kings time saying a demon called Bem ruled this river ( total = river bank. Bentota hosts a handful of world proclaimed hotels. Bentota also delivers an ancient art of healing called Ayurveda. Bentota is also famous for its production in Toddy. An alcoholic beverage made out of coconut nectar. The city’s population is estimated to be between 25,000-50,000
