Day 01: Trivandrum

 

Arrive at Trivandrum where our representative receives you. Drive towards Kovalam and check into the Kovalam Beach Resort. The crystal clear water of the sea is ideal for aquatic sports like surf riding and riding the "Catamaran" or log with the fisherman or even swimming. Arrive & check in hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax and explore the beach. Overnight stay at the beach resort.

 

Day 02: Kovalam

 

In the morning after breakfast drive back to Trivandrum. Visit the major tourist places of Kovalam like Shree Padmanabha Swami Temple, Napier Museum, Chitralayam Art Gallery, Zoological Gardens, Reptile House Observatory and Kanakakannu Palace at Trivandrum. Post Lunch excursion to Kanya Kumari to visit the breathtaking Padmanabhapuram Palace and view the most amazing dusk over the ocean simultaneously. Return to Kovalam in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 03: Quilon (Kollam)

 

Drive to Quilon, one of the best Kerala backwater destinations. Enjoy your stay in a backwater resort on the bank of Ashtamudi Lake. Quilon is famous centre of delicious Cashew and Seafood found in abundance here. Check into the hotel. Proceed to view the historic remains and the temples built in ornate style. One can also visit the village on boat cruise to get acquainted with the life style and culture of natives. Overnight stay at the beach resort.

Day 04: Alleppey / Houseboat

 

Board the houseboat from Alleppey Jetty point in the morning after breakfast. These luxurious houseboats usually have one or two bathrooms, an open lounge, deck, kitchenette and a crew comprising oarsmen, a cook and guide. You can sail through the beautiful villages and paddy fields also observing the native culture. Overnight stay at the houseboat.

Day 05: Kumarakom

 

In the morning disembark the boat at Kumarakom. Check into the backwater resort. Visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which is home to many rare and unique bird species. Relax at the waterfront in sunbathing or sipping a coconut or a sunset cruise. Overnight stay at the beach resort.

 

Day 06: Periyar

 

Periyar, the most fascinating wildlife sanctuary in India is known for the elephant population. Spice plantations here in Periyar are known for its scenic beauty. Relax in the boat ride on the spectacular Periyar Lake. The Wild Boars, Sambar, Wild Dogs, Langur Monkeys, Bison, Red fox are the other wild animals visible in the forest. In the afternoon tour the spice plantations like cardamom, pepper, tea etc. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 07: Vandenmedu

 

The rolling hills, tea and cardamom plantations of Vandenmedu greet you with a smile. The natural grasslands and pine forests interspersed with sprawling tea, rubber and eucalyptus plantations on the hillside are the main attractions. Also visit Cardamom plantation and Tea factory at Kailasam. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08: Munnar

 

Arrive at Munnar, the enchanting hill station of Kerala. At this nature lover's paradise enjoy the winding lanes, the shimmering waterfalls, towering mountains with the flying clouds passing by over your head. Check into the hotel. Apart from tea gardens, lush green hills and the sightseeing tour of Munnar including the Raja Malai, to see the Neel Thar (mountain goats), Muttupetty dam and Indo Swiss project; you can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09: Kochi

 

Early morning drive to Kochi, the commercial capital of Kerala. Vasco-da-Gama placed this spice centre and the natural harbour on the world map. The tourist places in the city include a Jewish synagogue, Portuguese Churches, Mosques, Hindu temples and Chinese Fishing Nets. In the evening attend the traditional Kathakali Dance Show. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 10: Calicut / Kappad Beach

 

Drive towards Calicut. You can tour the town including the Kappad beach, 20 Kms away from Calicut where Vasco-da-Gama landed in 1498 A.D. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 11: Calicut

 

Full day excursion to Pookot Lake drenched in serenity. This natural fresh water lake is encompassed by the meadows and trees offering you tranquility. Enjoy the boating in the lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12: Wayanad / Edakkal Caves

 

Drive to Wayanad, one of the most beautiful hill stations of Kerala. Visit Edakkal Caves that contain several paintings and pictorial writings of the New Stone Age Civilization. You can also visit Muthunga wildlife sanctuary to observe the herds of elephants, bear, deer, wild pig etc. and the glass temple famous for Jain temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 13: Wayanad

 

Visit the coffee, tea, cardamom, pepper and rubber plantations in and around the town. Mist capped mountains and breathtaking landscapes are the major tourist attractions in the town. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 14: Departure

 

Depart from the Calicut Airport for your onward destination or back home by flight.
